Dr. Dixon is the Nancy L. and Ronald H. McFarlane Professor of Pharmacy and Chair of the Department of Pharmacotherapy & Outcomes Science. He practices preventive cardiology at VCU Health and his research interests include hypertension, dyslipidemia, guideline adherence and implementation, and pharmacist interventions to improve the management of cardiovascular risk factors. Dr. Dixon is an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association and the Journal of Clinical Lipidology. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association, National Lipid Association, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and American College of Cardiology.
