Rachel Wittenauer, Ph.D.
Dr. Rachel Wittenauer, MPH, Ph.D., has ten years of experience working with academic, public, non-profit and private sector collaborators to advance public health goals. She enjoys applying a variety of statistical methods and drawing from her backgrounds in both public health and pharmaceutical policy to evaluate programs that improve access to medicines for marginalized populations, both in the US and globally. Her work has been supported by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, PATH, the US Agency for International Development (USAID), and the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE). She has co-authored over ten peer-reviewed publications, contributed to multiple technical reports for the World Health Organization, and been invited to testify about her pharmacy access research in the Washington State legislature. Rachel recently earned her Ph.D. from the Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy, and Economics (CHOICE) Institute at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy, which she joined after her MPH in Global Health at University of Washington. She is an incoming postdoctoral fellow at the WHO's International Agency for Research on Cancer.
