Sujith Ramachandran, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Administration and Assistant Director for the Center for Pharmaceutical Marketing & Management at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. His research focuses on building a high-quality, equitable healthcare system that improves patient outcomes and delivers value. He studies medication use access and policy, with work examining opioid use in older adults and stimulant use among young adults. He has worked closely with the Mississippi Division of Medicaid on quality monitoring and care delivery reforms and has collaborated with the Pharmacy Quality Alliance, co-chairing national multidisciplinary workgroups on pharmacy quality measures. His experience includes health policy, pharmacoepidemiology, healthcare quality, and research methods to advance health equity. In 2024, he was selected as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation health policy fellow, subsequently serving on the US Senate Committee on Finance where he contributed to issues on drug policy. He was part of the National Minority Quality Forum’s 2025 class of 40 under 40 Leaders in Health, and has previously received new investigator awards from the University of Mississippi and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and Best Social & Administrative Sciences Research Paper Awards in 2019 and 2021. His research has been funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the Mississippi Department of Health, Mississippi Division of Medicaid, Substance Use and Mental Health Services Administrations, and other organizations. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi
