Speaker: Spencer Harpe, Pharm.D., Ph.D.
Spencer E. Harpe, Pharm.D., Ph.D., MPH, FAPhA is Professor of Pharmacy Administration at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy (Downers Grove, IL Campus). His scholarly interests include outcomes research, healthcare quality, educational research, and meta-research. He has a keen interest in improving research and evaluation capacity among pharmacists and working to elevate the quality of the pharmacy services literature. He is currently Deputy Editor for Journal of the American Pharmacists Association and has served on the editorial boards of several pharmacy-related journals. Dr. Harpe is involved in numerous professional organizations including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, the American Pharmacists Association, the American Educational Research Association, and the American Evaluation Association. He is a past President of the APhA-Academy of Pharmaceutical Research and Science and a previous member of the APhA Board of Trustees. He holds a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a PharmD from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Harpe completed his graduate training at the Ohio State University where he earned an MS in Pharmaceutical Administration, an MPH with a concentration in biostatistics, and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Administration with a focus on health outcomes research.
