In alignment with CPPI's vision, Kelly Goode has dedicated her career to advancing community-based pharmacy practice. She runs a practice at a federally-qualified health care center for the homeless, Daily Planet Health Services, Inc., has developed innovative pharmacist care services in a patient-centered medical home and is currently involved in Project IMPACT, an American Pharmacists Association Foundation (APhA) initiative to evaluate the role of pharmacists in continuous glucose monitoring.
Additionally, she serves as the Director of the PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program at the VCU School of Pharmacy and holds the position of VCU School of Pharmacy Champion for the ACT Collaborative, as the School was recently selected an inaugural ACT Community Pharmacy Center of Excellence.
“The designation will allow the School to mobilize and amplify community-based pharmacy practice transformation efforts in Virginia and across the country,” writes Goode. “It’s an incredible opportunity to continue the advancement of community-based pharmacy practice by sharing the importance of community-based pharmacists with key stakeholders including student pharmacists”
With a passion for training pharmacists in immunization delivery, Goode also serves as the APhA liaison representative to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases and is involved in residency training as a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Commission on Credentialing.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Goode enjoys gardening, arranging flowers and is an avid sports fan. She is currently learning to fly fish and loves spending time with her two dogs, Tilly and Bailey.
